The archeological site in Southern Turkey (Gobekli Tepe) has some of the oldest buildings in the World (12,000 year old). The site lay undiscovered until 1994. The archeologist who unearthed it is Klaus Schmidt. The site is near the Karacadag Mountains where the first grass plant evolved the ability to hold its seeds, thus making it easier to be harvested by man.
