  • I am not sure kung ito yung former Jacana Plant. We used to live in this area. When we first moved here in 1972. It was all forest. My father Abner Dumaran built a plant (Ice plant) to freeze the Tuna to be exported to Japan. I remember the Japananese Nakagawa who invested in Tuna. And some Chinese business men invested as well. Ships where entering this area. Many fishermen brought tunas of all species, color and sizes. Sharks of every size. There was not transportation to go there at that time. My dad had a pick up truck and we went to school in East Elementary School and then we moved to Bancao-bancao so that we can go to school. My father was experienced Industrial Engineer who was a pioneer in refrigeration of Tunas for long transport.
