This village is in Amalapuram mandal.
It is famous for VEDAS and UPANISHATHS. Sivalayam(Someswara swamy), Vishnalayam(narasimha swamy), Gopalaswamy are major temples here. The big pond that you are able see is RAMAYYA CHERUVU and beside that you can see high school.
Its worth visiting this beautiful village in Winter and Rainy seasons.
A very important clan of Brahmins, called as Peruru Dravidlu also originated from this place. The Peruru Dravidlu have established themselves in various professions and spread across the world.
