This is one Kim Jong-il's main residential complexes, located in the Ryongsong District, Pyongyang. It was constructed in the early 1980's by a Korean People's Army construction brigade. The complex includes houses for General-Secretary Kim, his sister Kim Kyong-hui and her husband Jang Song-thaek, and some members of KJI's administrative and personal staff. The complex's grounds include two banquet/function buildings; a basketball court; swimming pools; sauna; horse stables, bridal paths and race track; a shooting range; and auto racing track. This complex also includes a station for KJI's personal train and it is connected to Pyongyang's city centre by a subway system.
