The Spiritist Society Jorge is a Kardecian (christian spiritist) center in Vila isabel since 1927. Its present premises were inaugurated in 2000 and comprise 3 floors, where doctrinal, mediumical and social works are undertaken by several dozen volunteers, mostly from middle-class extraction. Public meetings are held on Wednesday and friday nights, youth and children attend evangelization (kind of a Sunday School) on sunday mornings.
