This area used to an undeveloped forest with some or limited low land around or in between between Tuaran & Kota Belud district. But it had been marked as Tenghilan area once upon a time. It is low land area surrounded by mountainous ranges of forest & there were only natives of Dusuns & Bajaus living around these area. Most dusuns were orignally living on hilly or near mountainous ranges areas or places while Bajaus were living near the sea side like Ambong Bay & Kebun Getah established by British as well as present Kampong Bunga. Those days it was believed that Dusuns depended mainly the lowland for padi cultivation where there are few rivers nearby. Then, during World War 2, Chinese Migrants mostly came from South East Coast of China settle down around Kampong Pangkalan around Pangkalan River where a bridge is & where nearby there is also a Chinese cum Sino-kadazan-Dusun cemetery which can be easliy located as history proven mark or record. Then the business/trade was gradually shifted to present site of Tenghilan township which is still standing with 8 units of wooden shoplots which were originally built around 1950. How Tenghilan was named hard to be traced due to lack or none record. I feel as I can possibly remember perhaps due to frequent flood during heavy rain that the township area due to its low land area within all those surrounding hilly/mountainous ranges that cause it easily submeged/convered into the water due to the over flow of Tenghilan River. I was born in 1947 in Tenghilan old township which had long gone built by attap roofing nearby the existing old shoplots. Those days when I was small I used to do fishing right at the backyard of existing twonship which were built about 2 meters higher than the low land areas around. Today the Tenghilan river is almost dry up for some reasons perhaps & most of Tenghilan township surrounding lowland had since been raised up to the same level as the shoplots. Today we can obvously notice there are hardly flood area during heavy rain in Tenghilan township! This is just my own personal analysis! Hopefully we can trace back some worthy historic about Tenghilan or Tenghilan township in time to come for proper record purpose.

If you are one of us in LEONGS family-tree according to Chinese cutlure or mixture of Sino-Kadazan, I wonder if you have ever appraoched me or 2nd uncle Ten Sau in Tuaran or 3rd uncle Thien Chuan in Likas or 5th uncle Ah Hiong in Likas since uncle Apai passed away last year? Who is actually egotic? What or what is your mother? If you are really one of our LEONGS 3rd generation it is not too difficult for me to find out if I really want to! If you are not feeling like one of us, then, what are you then? What is your scientific/medical DNA at the end of the day? Please don't hurt Chinese as a whole? This Tenghilan LEONGS farm/rubber estate in Kampong Pangalan or pankalan had been kept/maintained/run & adminstrated by my 4th younger brother Roger Leong (Apai) eversince as I the eldest in the LEONGS family handed over the whole lands' titles or documents to him when our beloved father passed away. This estate with a few land titles were supposed to be shared by 3 siblings namely Liong Thein Yin (Apai), Liong Thein Hiong & the Liong Kui Lin. How they distributed were again agreed/confirmed upon by my elder mother before she passed aways few years ago. There should not be any dispute about this estate whatsoever! We have all most LEONGS 2nd generation siblings consent too especially those MALE-LEONGS (the 5 brothers)! The last piece of message I knew was a WILL being made by Apai just before he passed away last year. A copy each being kept by the people concern as Leongs Males Elders can also be the witness!!! And of course I am one of them! There were in fact a few stories about the properties that belonged to my parents in Tenghilan apart from this particular one but we had left everything to Apai to handle. Perhaps my Tuaran brother Ten Sau knows much better than I do because he did discussed with Apai just before Apai left for good last year! The rest of major LEONGS' matters or issues are history or settled except with individual family problem! TAKE CARE & THANK YOU! |

You know there are no other LEONGS in Tenghilan apart from us but I think there are one or two LEONGS in Tuaran. Whether the answer is yes or no, it does not matter anymore because as long as you are sincere with us, it is okay! But make sure do not make thing worst... ok!? However, please do not continue trying to confuse people or let people guess around especially around our LEONGS' families, will you? Why waste this once the greatest farming under Tenghilan LEONGS' family control? What is the LATEST progression & production situation or condition like? Isn't it really wasted to leave it abandoned without CARE or CONCERN. Just prove to those who have gone especially our 1st LEONGS generation our beloved parents that the new take-over controller or generation are improving & better off with product of time in today 21st century modern world! Though I am far away..., I always visit this website as if I am visiting Tenghilan because I always remember my late beloved parents & all my siblings no matter what! Since we are fated to be together on earth, there must be some reasons for that to happen! We may not forget the past events but surely we can forgive people who made mistake unintentionally as long as one is sincere enough to confess the wrong doing otherwise the history will repeat itself again & again & again. Last night I got a sms from my brother Ten Sau & he told me that my 5th younger brother Ah Hiong is going to let those people concern to have a copy each of the land titles as well as the Apai's will. That was great indeed in order to avoid any misundertanding or conflict among LEONGS memeberships & relationship! What we LEONGS all like to see is NOTHING but THE TRUTH! 3 BIG CHEERS~~~ |
