This was originally the official residence of the first president of Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. It later came to be used as Army headquarters. This building was then demolished and a new 'Jubilee House' built to house the Presidency. It was meant to replace the Osu Castle offices of the president. It still is not yet being fully used as such.
