The "pond" that is here now is only a modern structure, it is built on the site of where one of the original fountain basins were. It is only about one third of the size of the original fountain.

  • Was it the site of an original fountain, or a sump/reservoir that was part of the original infrastructure that supported the fountains? Do we know what "pond" now connects with?
  • yes there was once an original fountain in this location that got flattened at some point (50s or 60s) and this modern (smaller) pond was build in its location in the late 80s.
