The landmark building that sparked the term Hi-tech city. For a while this building was the 'Hi-tech' city. Constructed by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's goverment.

It could be said that this very same building and the initiatives taken by the same administration spurred the growth in the IT and IT related companies relocating/establishing offices across Hyderabad Metro area.

  • Foundation stone laid for Cyber Towers, Hyderabad in 1991 by AP CM Nedurumalli JanardhanReddy. At that time Indian PrimeMinister was PV Narasimha Rao. As part of economic reforms PVNR initiated for Software Technology Parks of India also known as STPI. Based on PVNR decision, Nedurumalli cabinet approved for Cyber Towers building and laid foundation stone. The employment was generated in Chandrababu Naidu regime and he did publicity as I was the reason for IT to enter into Hyderabad. Purely CBN stunt is bluff about Cyber Towers. Real effort was done by PVNR, Nedurumalli!!
  • The current Cyberabad towers plan didn't even exist during Nedurumalli's regime though he laid the foundation stone for the new STPI center, who has been forced to resign due to the malpractice in allocating Engineering/Medical colleges.5 years after the foundation stone was laid, the SPV got a form and shape (designs) allowing L&T ECC to construct the towers during CBN's regime. In fact, during his regime, the government focus shifted to IT besides allocating Engineering Colleges, NALSAR, Business school, HICC, HITEX, Shipa Kala Vedika, Shiparamam and the proposals for ORR (Outer Ring Road) and International Airport got approved. Whatever the current haters state, the fact remains a fact. I just happen to be an Engineering student that stepped into the old STPI complex @Maitreyivanam for job search at that time.
