Mount Herzl (Hebrew: הר הרצל, Har Herzl), also Har HaZikaron (Hebrew: הר הזכרון lit. "Mount of Remembrance"), is the national cemetery of Israel located in Jerusalem. It is named for Theodor Herzl, the founder of modern political Zionism. Yad Vashem, the main Holocaust museum of Israel is located on the Mount of Remembrance that is extension of Mount Herzl. Mount Herzl is 834 meters above the sea level. The Northern area is the National Military and Police cemetery and the Southern area is the National Civil Cemetery of the State of Israel.
National Civil Cemetery of the State of Israel (Helkat Gdolei Ha'Uma):
the southern slop of Mount herzl dedicated to the leaders and important public persons of the state of Israel. in hebrew this cemetery called: Helkat Gdolei Ha'Uma ("the section of the great people of the nation"). the cemetery region are including a national memorials of the israeli public and memorial gardens of leaders that visit the state of israel.
Mount Herzl Plaza:
the ceremonial plaza is a big square in the top of the Mountain. in the northern edge is the grave of Theodor Herzl. the plaza is the place which the Independence Day celebrations are begining every year.
the Menorah sculpture:
the Menorah sculpture is a Sculpture located in the entrance plaza of mount herzl dedicated to the Third Temple. this sculpture was built in 2002 by the sculpture "Ben Zion Tzefoni".
Victims of Acts of Terror Memorial:
The Victims of Acts of Terror Memorial is the main memorial for all victims of terrorism in Israel from 1851 until today. The Memorial was opened in 1997, and every year a main ceremony is held on the plaza, in memory of the victims of terror.
The memorial is located in the National Civil Cemetery next to Helkat Gedolei Ha'Uma.
Garden of the Nations:
is a public garden with an Olives trees that plant by foreign leaders that visit the state of israel. in each tree is a plaque in memory of the leader who plant the tree.

a bigraphical museum in the main entrance to Mount Herzl, tell the story of Theodor Herzl and his visin to creat the Zionist country. the museum was open in 2005.
The Zionism study center:
the Stella and Alexander Margolis institute for study of [[Zionism]] and educational center is located beside the Herzl Museum. the center was open in 2013. a small memorial garden to Norman Herzl beside the Zionism study center.
The Connecting Pathe to Yad Vashem:
a memorial path that was established in 2003 by the israeli youth organizations and desingd by the architect [[Uri Abramson]] with pictures walls and speakers telling the story of the birth of the state of israel from the beginning of the [[Zionism]] until the decleration of the state. the path the path begin from Helkat Gdolei Ha'Uma and is ending at the entrance of the Yad Vashem museum.

the cemetery are located in the northern slop and uses as the main cemetery of the israeli soldiers and officars - if there family don't want to buried them in other places. the cemetery are including national memorials of the israely defence forces and memorial gardens for the people who fight in the pre zionist state.
Garden of the Missing in Action:
The Garden of the Missing in Action is a memorial garden in Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. It is in the National Military and Police cemetery. The garden is dedicated to the Missing in action that burial place is unknown from 1914 until today and also a temporary monument the unknown soldiers planned to move to the National Memorial Hall. The memorial includes names of Jewish and non-Jewish soldiers and officers who have served in the Israeli Army and Israeli Police.
National Memorial Hall:
The National Memorial Hall at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem is an initiative of the Israeli Ministry of Defense to commemorate all military Israeli casualties of war and Jewish fighters from 1860 until today. The proposal to build the hall was announced by Defense Minister Ehud Barak in 2010.
In 2012 the Israeli government approved the establishment of the National Memorial Hall at a cost of $40 million. Certification has been delayed because of a petition to the court by families of terror victims. They say that there is no mention in the hall of the names of those victims, although the Hall is planned to be built next to the main memorial to Israeli terror victims.
The Memorial Hall is planned to be built in the entrance to the National Military and Police cemetery.
In the center of the hall there is planned to be an eternal flame dedicated to the unknown soldiers of Israel.
Ancient burial cave:
An ancient Jewish burial cave from the Second Temple period was found in the military cemetery in 1954 and after than the main architect of the cemetery: the Architect "Dr. Asher Hiram" design the entrance to the cave so that it will be integrated inside the cemetery.

is the western hill of Mount Herzl in 806 meters above the sea level (also western spur of Mount Herzl). the Mount of Remembrance called for the memory for the victims of the Holocaust and the Yad Vashem museum is on the top of the mountain.

the Yad Vashem museum is the natioanl Holocaust museum of israel located in the top of the Mount of Remembrance viewing to Mount Herzl, the museum including the International School for Holocaust Studies, the "International Institute for Holocaust Research", the "Valley of the Destroyed Communities", the "Hall of Names", and the Righteous Among the Nations Memorial Path.

Mitspe Karem is an archaeological park located in the Jerusalem Forest on the west side of the Mount of Remembrance, near the Yad Vashem museum. There are finds from various periods, including the Early Bronze Age, Iron Age, Roman, Byzantine and possibly the Hellenistic.
