This site has long been associated with lubricant manufacture, most recently Exxon Corp.'s grease products. Exxon closed the plant by the end of 1998, consolidating its operations into its bigger and newer Bakerstown plant. The property now appears to be owned by a warehouse leasing company.

  • The Pittsburgh plant was updated in 1990 The Bakerstown plant was obsolete. It had to do with patent of white grease. Exxon then bought Mobil. Obsoletes plants closed.
  • I work in the Pittsburgh plant for 25 years. After the Exxon Valdez incident any plant near rivers where in jeopardy. Exxon received it base product by barge. To much chance, risk couldn't take. I understand
