This was once the site of a NATO ACE HIGH communications facility manned by the British - originally Royal Air Force technicians & subsequently by Army technicians of the Royal Corps of Signals. The ACE HIGH system was eventually abandoned and this site was taken over and manned by the local military authorities. |
