park, war memorial
Coventry's premier park, the Memorial Park has an extensive range of outdoor sports facilities including tennis courts; bowling greens; football pitches; and a pitch and putt golf course.
It is Coventry's largest, best known and most visited park. It has good car parking facilities, including the "Park and Ride South" car park. There is a large area of open grassland, a childrens playground and a new water feature, and formal parkland. In the centre of the formal parkland is the War Memorial which (together with many trees planted in memorial to named people or events) gives the park its name.
