Kendriya Vidyalaya Air force Station Thane was established on 19.09.1981.The environmental beauty and charm of the place has given this temple of learning a high pedestal in the history of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. Under the able guidance of Mr. V. K. Khorana, the present Chairman of the vidyalaya and the Principal Ms. Sudeep Arora KV AFS Thane has continously strived hard to achieve a good result for the students.

The school is very well connected since it is situated in an area which is easily accessible from the central suburbs by road and from the Central Railway line, Thane being the nearest railway station. Vidyalaya is approx 8 Kms. From Thane Railway Station and can be easily reached by Bus No 90 and 95 for kolshet respectively.

AFFILIATION
The vidyalaya is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) New Delhi and prepares students for the All India Secondary School Examination and Senior Certificate Examination of the Board.
