This is a small village of Khargone district with a population of about 4500,which is a predominantly agricultural area, specially cotton ,wheat and pulses. Its a beautiful place sarrounded by two rivers ROOPAREL in the west and VEDA in the east.Climate is usually comfortable and dry. Nimari is the regional language which is spoken here. There is a famous Durga tample nearby this village. There are deep forests in the vicinity of the village (10-15 km).The nearest railway station in khandwa( 60kms) and nearest airport is Indore (150kms), both are well connected by road to this place.

    my maternal grand fathers house was here, here i spend my costly days of childhood. i still feel the river veda, durga temple & their priest, and krishna mandir of village, the tree of neem & house of nurse aunty. really i miss it.

    Its a village just in terms of numbers and agriculture otherwise if you go there you will get to know what Obama is thinking about MC Cains and about India.Although agriculture has been the main source of living but now its education particularly professional one.One thing surprises me that even with a long deliberate political negligence in terms of connectivity and water distribution of forth coming schemes the people don't give up.The far most needed and fulfilled partial cell phone connectivity has mad their job a little simple. This is a potential place which can turn coal in to diamond.The last time i visited that place the area was facing dangerous draught but the spirits were far higher.Of course the people of this place are the biggest attraction but there are other things too.All historical places of this part of M P are nearby may be with a little poor road connections but its worth visiting Navagrah mandir Navagrah mela and Khardooshan's (Ravans brother)forte at Khargone,Mandav( the great memory of Baaj bahadur and Rani Roopmati,Maheshwar (the place and palace Devi Ahilya- The great holker),Omkareshwar(Mamaleshwar- one of 12 divine Lord shiva Jyotirlings). Once you see this place you realize the potential that how this place dose excellent without a long desired railway connectivity, and better road connectivity and worst monsoon for years. VISIT THIS PLACE AND REALIZE WHAT IS COMPETABILITY IN ADVERSITY.
