  • I left my country in 1961 and have never gone back. Part of my family lived in el Focsa. I lived in Santos Suares. I would like to re-visit my country and show my children their heritage. My father was a Dr. and died at a young age of 37 at the hand of Batista's men, there is a clinic named after him in Havana called Dr.Jorge Ruiz Ramires clinic. I would love to see it and my home.
  • I hope you get the opportunity to see your home. It is a country of great beauty, but also tragic decay. Today, the FOSCA building provides accommodation to those chosen by the government after years of laying dormant following the departure of the Soviets.
