Mahesh Mhatre has been a professional journalist for more than fifteen years. He is currently a Senior Assistant Editor in the Indian Express (Mumbai) where he concentrates on political developments and social trends. He has earlier worked in several news organisations like Saksal, Lokprabha, Tarun Bharat and Lokmat as a sub–editor, reporter, executive editor, editor and chief editor in Mumbai and Nagpur. He also teaches news reporting, editing and creative writing in two multilingual journalism training institutes. He conducts a weekly talk show on Doordarshan’s Sahyadri Channel.
