History:

Some class of peoples be "Untouchables" who survived from slavery in India .

On 1931 the Ruling British Consulate appointed Mr:SIMON as a Commission to prepare

a list of such castes in India . On 1935 the Mr: SIMON Commission's

expression "Scheduled Castes"legalized by the British Government in India.Further

on1950 in exercise of powers conferred by Clause (1)of Article 341of the Constitution

of India , the Hon: President of India pleased to make order called the Constitution

(Scheduled Castes)Order-1950 and at Part VIII Rules and Orders in Kerala originated

68 Castes and sub-castes in the Schedule called "PATTIKAJATHI" in Kerala's Malayalam

Language.

As per census 2001 in Kerala there are 1525114 man and

1598827 Women Pattikajathi Members living in Kerala.

COMBATTING OFFENCES OF ATROCITY AND ERADICATING "UNTOUCHABILITY"
