Built in the 1970s as a Ralph's Supermarket, Lucky (under American Stores Inc.) took over the building, lasting until 1999 when Albertsons completed the buyout of American Stores. After financial problems with Albertsons, the chain was split up and the Bay Area Albertsons stores were sold to Save Mart Supermarkets in 2007, who rebranded them as Lucky again. This store closed on April 28, 2012 with 99 Ranch Market (Asian supermarket) replacing it.
