The oldest operating hardware store in Alabama. Founded in 1879 by the Harrison brothers, moved to this site in 1897, expanding into the adjoining building in 1902. In continuous ownership by the Harrison family until it was bought by the non-profit Historic Huntsville Foundation in 1984. Added to the National Registry of Historic Places in 1980.
