DC's version of Upper East Side.
Mostly mansions and upscale prewar apartment buildings, many of them owned by embassies and ambassadors due to the proximity to a section of Massachusetts Avenue, NW known as "Embassy Row".
Kalorama is a densely developed, hilly area overlooking Rock Creek Park. At the base of the escarpment to the south, the three-way intersection of Connecticut Avenue, Florida Avenue and Columbia Road divides the neighborhoods of Kalorama, Adams-Morgan, and Dupont Circle to the south.
