Lake Rhodhiss was created in 1925 with the construction of the Rhodhiss Dam on the Catawba River. The reservoir lake has 90 miles of shoreline. Full pond elevation is 995.1 feet.
Lake Rhodhiss is also water sources for the nearby cities of Granite Falls, Lenoir, Morganton and Valdese, North Carolina.
