Howard County Western Regional Park

The new Western Regional Park is a 160-acre facility located at MD Route 97 and Carrs Mill Road. The east side is now open and consists of 3 baseball fields, one with lights, 2 multipurpose synthetic turf fields with bleachers and lights, 2 basketball courts, restroom/concession building, playground, landscaping and parking. The construction of the remaining park facilities is projected to start sometime late Fall, 2006 to early Spring, 2007. Those facilities will include 3 additional natural grass multipurpose fields, 1 tee ball field, 1 baseball field, 5 picnic pavilions, pathways, nature/horse trails, 2 restroom facilities, and a maintenance facility.
