The William Powell bridge along the Rickenbacker Causeway, is one of the few "hill climbing" spots for South Florida cyclists. It sports a nice view of the bay and is a popular spot to watch the sailboats pass.
Built in 1985, it spans the Intracoastal Waterway, has a clearance of 76 feet, 10 inches at its highest point (making it one of the highest navigable points in Florida), and stretches for nearly a mile from beginning to end.
It connects mainland Florida with Virginia Key.
