John Ballandine, a local industrialist, built this Georgian mansion in 1758 with the help of master builder, William Buckland. The ghost here is said to be that of a Confederate Soldier. The Georgian-style stone house, which is also known as "The Den", is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
