City prison (Lviv)

Originally a convent of the Bridgettines. After their suppression by the Austrian authorities turned into a prison, continues to serve this role today.

In 1941 the building was used as a mass murder site by the Soviet Secret Service. About 7000 Polish and Ukrainian inmates were killed by the Soviet NKVD.
