Kabasalan (Town Proper), Zamboanga Sibugay

Kabasalan is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 37,619 people in 7,216 households.

The municipality of Kabasalan is located at about 20 kilometers eastward from Ipil, capital town of Zamboanga Sibugay. The Poblacion of Kabasalan is 160 km from Zamboanga City, 114 km from the city of Pagadian and 205 km from Dipolog City.

The municiaplity is bounded on the north by the municipalities of Salug and Godod, all of Zamboanga del Norte. On the east by municipalities of Siay and Imelda all of Zamboanga Sibugay and Bayog of Zamboanga del Sur. On the west by the municipality of Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay and on the south by the municipality of Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay and the Sibuguey Bay.
