1,343 acre park with a Nature Center, picnic shelters, the Carolina Raptor Center and Historic Latta Plantation. There are two landing areas that provide access to Gar Creek and Mountain Island Lake for canoes and kayaks. The Plantation is a restored 19th century federal-style home open for public tours. This is Mecklenburg county's largest nature preserve.
