  • Can anyone advise if Shamshenagar Airport will ever be restored and eventually opened to the public please? There are a lot of British nationals originating from the Maulvibazar district that I am sure are in favour of this idea and should the airport reopen it would mean more economy for the country. Any one have any updates with regards to this subject please would be much appreciated. Thanks :)
  • I very much doubt it will because there simply isn't enough passengers for that location traveling at one time therefore not financially viable for an airline to start routes there from Dhaka.
  • Hi Thanks for your reply, much appreciated. Most people from Molovibazar travel a direct flight to Sylhet and then drive down to this area. Its a shame just a small local flight would have been helpful. I think we under estimate the numbers travelling from this neck of the woods just need more people to voice their opinions on the matter.
