Special Air Service Barracks as of 1999 after relocation from Hereford, UK (See Bradbury Lines @ Wikimapia). On 30 September 2000 at 11.00 hours, the 22nd Special Air Service Regiment held the Official Opening Ceremony for their new Stirling Lines Headquarters at Credenhill in Herefordshire.

  • It seems odd that there is no air field or heli-port. THe SAS is a rapid response strike force, yet from the barracks it doesn't appear that the get anywhere rapidly.
  • There IS a helipad, look closer...doesn't have the H sign on it and it's rectangular

  • James, what you cant see is that the whole lake below the barracks slides westwards, the tree folds back, and that lets me launch my Thunderbird SAS transport as a rapid deployment vehicle. Excpet for weekends, The recent cuts to allow HMG to buy a Trident missile means I can only operate 9-5 Monday to Friday.

  • James, there is one on he southern west end of the camp site, operating multi-role and transport types, there is also limited fuelling and capacity for up to 4 craft on the pad, as well as plenty on the fields around the pad.
