Lough Neagh is a freshwater lake in Northern Ireland. With an area of 392km squared (151mi squared), it ranks among the forty largest lakes of Europe and is the largest lake in the UK. Approximately 30km (20mi) long and 15km (9mi) wide, Lough Neagh lies 30km (20mi) to the west of Belfast.
