Small town in Guanajuato. Father Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla lived in this town before the declaration of Mexico's independence. Then he moved to Dolores Hidalgo,Gto. and started to teach the indians the art of making pottery. In September 15,1810, Father Hidalgo began the movement for independence of Mexico.
