  • This church is ugly as sin and does not even resemble a Catholic Church. Padre Pio would be ashamed. If you're going here, don't bother with this new church and be sure to visit the convent where Padre Pio actually lived and said Mass while he was alive.
  • Referring to the saying: “Beauty is the eyes of the beholder”, I can say that this church is as angelic as those who come to pray in it. It has the biggest arches constructed in stone around the world ever, and was designed for the pilgrims that actually go to the church to be closer to God and Padre Pio and not for the people that think they are architectural critics. Society changes with time and brings new perspectives in art, architecture, engineering, science, etc. this church is a great engineering achievement, just as in “ ITS TIME “ were the gothic, baroque, classical, Romanesque, and many other styles of the antiquity. People shouldn’t depend of a building shape to practice their religion or to measure the amount of faith being inside of them. Today’s society can not keep expecting MASSIVE CLASSICAL structures because we are not leaving before the 1800’s any more.
