Midwood High School (Charlotte)

Midwood is now an alternative school, but it used to be a traditional high school and actually dates back to the early days of the school system along with schools like Garinger and Myers Park.

The school is for socially promoted 9th graders and serves as a transition school. Midwood is zoned with the four "challenged" high schools; Garinger, Waddell, West Charlotte, and West Mecklenburg. Midwood students are zoned to one of these four schools and may play sports for their home school.
