Founded in 1898. Archetype of the "muscular Christianity" movement, with kids encouraged to be tough. Generations of campers speak fondly of "Coach Mike" -- former all-SEC football player and coach Mike Castronis, who counseled campers and woke them up for morning calisthenics from 1949 until his death in 1987.
