The best bar in the world. A small bar with unmatched furniture, classical music, unhurried service and limited bar snacks, the Kulminator may not be everybody's idea of heaven, but the beer list is to die for. The bar specialises in vintage beers, with some going back to the early 1970s, which the owners Dirk and Leen have been storing since they first opened a bar in the city. They have beers which haven't been made for years, and earlier this year (2007) I bought a 24 year old bottle of Imperial Russian Stout there for only 6 euros, (it was superb by the way). If you're ever in Antwerp this is the one bar you must visit, but they don't open on Sunday.
