The Oriental Seminary (কলকাতা (Kolkata Metropolitan District))

Our most favourite school. Rabindra Nath Tagore sometimes studied here.
The Oriental Seminary started in 1829 by the educator Gour Mohan Addy, was the earliest privately run, first-rate school for Hindu children only in Kolkata (then known as Calcutta).
Among the other alumni were - Krishnadas Pal, Kailash Chandra Bose, Girish Chandra Ghosh, Umesh Chandra Banerjee, Sir Gurudas Bandyopadhyay, Amrita Lal Bose and Akshay Kumar Dutta; all were famous personalities in their respective fields of activities.
