Okay, Mouseketeers...before you start yammering about the decade-old "Third Gate" rumors....yes, Disney technically owns this property however, it IS still a working field and, probably will be until Disney submits concrete proposals to the Anaheim Planning Commission for another amusement venue.
Remember when Disney's California Adventure first opened? Not exactly stellar attendance. Maybe when DCA can stand-out on it's own for a few years, the rest of the strawberries will be paved over and something else cool but, over-priced will be built here.
Disney's chief executive officer, Robert Iger went on record during the company's annual stockholder meeting on March 10th, 2006, when someone asked about a potential third park being built in Anaheim. "We're still working to assure the second gate is successful", Iger said, referring to DCA. "In the spirit of candor, we have been challenged."
