Sam Boyd Stadium is the former home of the UNLV Rebels football team, and the former home of college football's annual Las Vegas Bowl. Upon the completion of Allegiant Stadium in 2019, both the Rebels and the Las Vegas Bowl moved there.
The stadium was also home to three short-lived professional teams: the CFL's Las Vegas Posse in 1994; the XFL's Las Vegas Outlaws (the team of Rod "He Hate Me" Smart) in 2001; and the Las Vegas Locomotives of the UFL from 2009-2012.
Also home to the USHRA Monster Jam World Finals.
As of 2024, Sam Boyd Stadium has no regular tenants and its fate is up in the air.
