The Blue Hole - Glencoe AL

This is a flooded quarry. The legend is that the bottom of the quarry still contains the trucks and bulldozers used in the quarry operation, because when water started coming in it flooded too fast to get the equipment out. The water is a beautiful blue, and very cold because it is spring fed. Supposedly the water is 75 to 100 feet deep. Really a lovely and special place.
