Blast Furnace # 3 is a project for Vizag Steel Plant- Vishakhapatnam to enhance the Steel production capacity to 6.3 MTPA from 3.8 MTPA (present) from two existing Blast Furnaces- Godavari ( MTPA) & Krishna ( MTPA).
This Project BF#3 is being constructed near the existing two Blast Furnaces.
The project had been awarded to L&T ECC Division with consortium partner Paul Wurth as EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) contract basis.
Total value of the project is 1400 Cr. INR
This project includes Design, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacture, Inspection, Supply, Transportation and Delivery to site, including transit insurance, unloading & Storage, Handling, Erection, Testing & Commissioning and Performance guarantee including all accessories. Larsen & Toubro Limited – ECC Division was given the responsibility of the above-mentioned works.
