Weather Station, Melbourne (City of Melbourne )

This area has been used to obtain readings relating to weather since almost the birth of Melbourne. This area decides whether Melbourne has reached record temperatures and rainfall and this is supposed to represent the entire metropolitian of Melbourne including the CBD.

Maybe okay in the turn of the 20th Century however Melbourne since has grown rapidly and a hypothesis is that the readings may not be as accurate as that it has to compete with peak hour traffic pollution and th heat generated by the vehicles on either side as when it was first built.

Just an interesting place to see.
