Xito'lacw is a relatively new residential subdivision of the Mount Currie Indian Reserve, and is governed by the Mount Currie Indian Band. There is a store and other community services in the neighbourhood, which was deliberately built high above the floodplain below, which is subject to occasional heavy flooding.
