This is the local airfield. It provides training in gliding and parachuting, free of charge for those between 16 and 22 years old.
A few decades ago it used to be a commercial airport as well, but it was downgraded due to its grass runway making the landing of big passenger aircraft impossible.
However, plans are underway to build an asphalt runway which would allow charter lines to use the airfield, thus rendering the airfield a commercial airport.
