  • Not so contaminated really - you'll get a 1500 micro-roentgen/h reading on the moss nearby (stay out), but it's safe to be on the platform - the platform and bumper cars have a 80-90 micro-roentgen/h radiation - pretty much less than the rest of the city - cheched in oct. 2008
  • it was opened along with the rest of the park briefly on the morning of april 27 to prevent panic
  • Moss and lichen naturally absorb and concentrate radiation. But, it's not mobile, so it won't get into your lungs. Don't walk on any you see in the zone or it'll contaminate your shoes and probably give you beta burns if you handle it.
