some information about Ahl al-Bayt family which refer to the prophet (Peace Upon To Him) daughter ,Fatima al-Zahra , and cousin Imam Ali, their two sons Hasan ibn Ali and Husayn ibn Ali, and the Sons from the lineage of Husayn ibn Ali .

Both Sunni and Shia Muslims believe the holiness and significance of these people, here you will find some things about Ahl al-Bayt in hadiths which is cited by some important sunni hadiths Books.

Kisa tradition )Hadiths kisa):
When the Tathir verse (33:33 إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا), was revealed By the prophet, at that time, `Ali, Fatimah, Hassan, and Husayn were in the home. Muhammad extended his cloak over them and declared "These are the members of my Household, and Allah has purified them of all sins and faults and uncleanness.

Another tradition by Aisha: Muhammad went out one morning wearing a striped cloak of the black camel's hair that there came Hasan ibn Ali. He enfolded him under it, then came Husayn and he wrapped him under it along with the other one (Hasan). Then came Fatimah and he took her under it, then came Ali and he also took him under it and then said: Allah only desires to take away any uncleanliness from you, people of the household, and purify you.

The Incident of Mubahala
فَمَنْ حَآجَّكَ فِيهِ مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ فَقُلْ تَعَالَوْاْ نَدْعُ أَبْنَاءنَا وَأَبْنَاءكُمْ وَنِسَاءنَا وَنِسَاءكُمْ وَأَنفُسَنَا وأَنفُسَكُمْ ثُمَّ نَبْتَهِلْ فَنَجْعَل لَّعْنَةَ اللّهِ عَلَى الْكَاذِبِينَ The Holy Quran 3:61,

According to hadith , it is reported that during the 9th - 10th year after hijra an Arab Christian emissary from Najran came to the prophet to dispute which of the two parties went wrong in its doctrine about Jesus. The prophet called them to Mubahala(Cursing), where each one should ask God to demolish the lying party and their families. Muhammad (Peace Upon to Him), to prove to them that he is a prophet, brought his daughter Fatimah and his grandchildren, Hasan and Hussein, and Ali ibn Abi Talib and came back to the Christians and said this is my family (Ahl al-Bayt) and enclosed himself and his family with a cloak. The Christian representative rejected to join in in Mubahala and chose instead to give tribute.

-The "mubahalah tradition" has been reported in different books of "sirah" and history with different wordings. These contain those of Tirmidhi ("Sahih" 166/2) , Hakim Nishaburi in "Al-Mustadrak" 150/3 and Bayhaqi in "Sunan" 63/7. Hakim regards this tradition as valid. • Muhammad said, "Ali pertains to me and I pertain to him, and he is the guardian of every believer." Tirmidhi transmitted it. (TIRMIDHI 1583) • Muhammad said, "When I am anyone's patron, Ali is his patron also."
