This is Koparde village in Panhala taluka of Kolhapur district.
The Village is well known for Animal Market, held every saturday, which is biggest in turnover in the district. Revenue collection from the village agaist verious taxes is also amungst top of district. The village has given many national level champions like Yuvraj Patil, Gunda Patil, Baba Shirgaonkar & many more. The village has got place as centre accros the tahsil for verios eductional facilities & for employement due to which growth rate is high. The Kumhi-Kasari Sugar Mill, Nagarika Spinning Mill, Khandoba Rice Mill, some some industries in the village have attracted many peoples form outside for employement & they are becoming citizens of the village.
