The Musan Iron-ore Mine Complex is the largest produce of iron ore in the DPRK. It is its own state-owned enterprise, not part of an amalgamated state corporation, with eleven (11) departments. It contains just under 1 billion tons of iron-ore remaining with part of the yield for processing and shipment via rail. It also has a pipeline which runs directly to the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex in Chongjin.
