Aboitiz Transport System (ATSC) Corporation and its subsidiaries are primarily engaged in the business of operating steamships, motorboats and other kinds of watercrafts; operating flight equipment and trucks; and acting as agent for domestic and foreign shipping companies for purposes of transportation of cargoes and passengers by air, land and sea within the waters and territorial jurisdiction of the Philippines. The Company is in the business of transporting of cargoes and passengers and providing manpower services to foreign shipping principals and distribution, among others. Subsidiaries under the distribution business provide supply chain management. Subsidiaries under the manpower services render manning and personnel, particularly crew management services. On June 3, 2008, Aboitiz One, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary, acquired 100% ownership in Scanasia Overseas Inc., a company engaged in the business of sales, marketing, warehousing and transportation of food products.
