Luxury hotel built in 1908 as the Hotel Majestic. Served as German headquarters in Paris during WWII. After the war it was converted to government use as the International Conference Center. Site of the Paris Peace Accords signing in 1973. Sold by the French government in 2008 as part of a cost-cutting measure to the Qatari Diar firm for $460 Million. Opened August 2014 as the Peninsula Hotel Paris, the famous brand's first property in Europe.
